Reviewing video and audio? Here’s how.

PageProof supports video and audio proofing — using the same familiar red-pen interface you know from static files. This means you can comment directly on moving content and waveforms.

Easily add comments to podcasts, radio ads, music...with PageProof’s audio proofing.

Subtitles and caption support

PageProof supports embedded subtitles and separate subtitle files (like SRT or VTT). This enables accurate reviews of timing, formatting, readability, spelling – all in the context of the video itself.

Here’s how our video and audio review process works.

  1. Upload your file – from MP4, MOV, GIF, to audio formats and more.
  2. Invite reviewers – manage single or multiple reviewers using workflows.
  3. Use the red pen – drop comments directly onto the video frame, specific timecodes, or audio waveform while it plays. Controls let reviewers play, pause, skip forward/back, and even step frame-by-frame in video or scrub through audio.

You can also span comments over time to call out sequences (e.g., “fix colour from 00:32–00:45”).

Video editing tool integrations

For creators working in video editing tools, feedback can flow directly back into your timeline – with no guesswork or manual copy-pasting needed.

  • Use the PageProof plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe After Effects to send a sequence or selected timeline range for proofing. When feedback returns, comments appear as pins right on your Premiere or After Effects timeline – and you can action them, mark them done, and upload a revised version without leaving the app.

  • If you’re on Apple Final Cut Pro, you can use our dedicated plugin to create proofs directly from your project, send them for review, and then see and resolve feedback as timestamped pins in Final Cut Pro. Once you re-render or revise, re-upload with ease.

Streamlined video and audio proofing for creative teams

Video, audio, animations – even subtitled content – can all be reviewed in the same intuitive proofing interface that teams use for static files. No more juggling different tools, emailing drafts, or trying to describe “around the 10-second mark” in a separate doc. Proofing and approvals stay streamlined, precise, and fast.

Wherever your story lives – on screen, in motion, or in sound – PageProof keeps your reviews flowing smoothly.
